COSL Drilling Europe, a safe and efficient drilling contractor dedicated to delivering on the energy transition with its cutting-edge, low-emission drilling rigs, is currently seeking skilled and motivated Subsea Supervisor to join our team.

By 2025, our ambition is to provide climate-neutral drilling services and set a new market standard.

Our rig portfolio has a proven track record of having the most efficient and best performing rigs in the North Sea, with Energy Control Systems already delivering substantial CO2 and NOx reductions. The rigs are compact, with low PoB and operated by a highly competent and experienced team. We are certified with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management standard and the ISO 50001 Energy Management System standard and continuously invest in technology and competence that reduce emissions and bring long-term value creations for our customers and society.
 

The Subsea Supervisor`s tasks and responsibilities are, but not limited to, following:

  • Operate and maintain sub sea related equipment such as; riser tensioners, diverter, slip joint, control unit, pressure testing equipment, choke manifold etc in accordance with all applicable operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure that the Drilling Unit at all times has the necessary supplies and spare parts for operation and maintenance of all the subsea related equipment on board in accordance with the inventory policy.
  • Ensure that all maintenance records are filed in the maintenance system.
  • Maintain the filing system onboard for certificates, drawings and manuals etc.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness throughout his/ her area of responsibility.
  • Carry out BOP tests and drills in accordance with authorities, operating company's, manufacturer's and COSL requirements.
  • Ensure that all reporting routines and documentation is carried out, such as: daily sub sea engineer log, maintenance records, BOP/manifold/HP test sheets, Ton cycles on tensioner wires, updating of service and instructions manuals, instructing procedures etc.
  • Ensure that all orders and instructions given or received are fully understood and adhered to.
  • Ensure that before any work on a high pressure system is started, a proper investigation/isolation of the system has been carried out.
  • Ensure that precautions have been taken, restricted area set up and the "work permit" has been signed. Ensure that relevant tools are available and in good order at all times.

 

Qualifications and Qualities:

Candidates must reside in Norway to be considered for this offshore position in the North Sea

  • Passed a vocational training programme acc. to NOG024 leading to a trade certificate within Drilling & Well Technology, or other similar studies with specialization in Mechanical / Hydraulic or Electrical vocational studies.
  • Relevant experience

  • G20 Knuckle Boom Crane Cert. (Fastmontert hydraulisk kran)
  • G4 Overhead Crane Certificate (Traverskran)
  • Hose press course

  • P-2.4 Simple Lifting Device
  • Fall Prevention Basic
  • IWCF Level 2
  • Flange Work NS-EN 1591-4
  • RVK Intro to Norwegian Rules & Regulations
  • Banksman & Slinger Course O-1.1 + 2.3 (G11)
  • Chemical Handling - basic knowledge
  • ISPS Designated Security Duties
  •  5 years of experience in the same or a similar position.

Our four semi-submersible drilling rigs were delivered from the yard respectively in November 2010 (COSLPioneer), November 2011 (COSLInnovator), May 2012 (COSLPromoter) and November 2014 (COSLProspector). The first drilling operations started in Norway in August 2011 and COSL Drilling Europe has since then been in continuous operation drilling and completing wells in Norway, UK, Faroe Islands and New Zealand. The drilling units are of a similar design and have all proven strong and consistent performance deliveries. Our rig portfolio has a proven track record of having the most efficient and best-performing rigs in the North Sea. COSL is setting a new standard in the North Sea with its energy efficiency. Our ambition is to deliver carbon neutral drilling operations within 2025.
